UA&P, NEW and PCHI visits GVCFI

The GVCFI is currently on talks with the Network for Enterprising Women (NEW), a large network of women entrepreneurs based in Manila, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCHI), and the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), considered to be the fourth major university in the country to organize the 1st Young Entrepreneurs Summit here in Koronadal South Cotabato.


Last September 15-19, 2009, the contingent from these three organizations arrived in Koronadal to continue the series of planning sessions for the said summit.


Lysa Sanchez, the marketing officer of NEW and speaker in the last Global Business Conference, shared some very positive outlook on the conference. Myren Garcia, a professor and business plan coordinator at the UA&P, said, “The Summit will not only have a dramatic impact for the Green Valley but also for the entire South Cotabato Community.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of the PCHI Ajun Valenzuela said that the partnership will definitely encourage students to become SME owners somebody.


The target date for the summit would be March 6, 2010 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium. Other organizations have already expressed their intention to partner with GVCFI. The Summit will be the culmination of months-long project that is geared toward the development of community-based and student-based enterprises. While the project is still on the planning stage, the management is looking forward to a very positive outcome.
